My name is Alfonso Rodriguez and I have served the community of Anaheim for 25 years as a teacher, coach, and volunteer.
After growing up in Anaheim and graduating from Anaheim High School, I received my BA at Cal State Fullerton and my MA at Concordia University.
I have spent my career working with students in all walks of life. I am also actively involved with City Church and other organizations. I am running because I love Anaheim and our community.
I am the only high school teacher running for the high school board. As a history teacher, I go over our government and the ideals of our Republic. I teach about how we elect leaders that make decisions for us. It's time for me to practice what I teach.
Over the past year, I have had dozens of parents raise concerns with me regarding the current status quo of AUHSD. I would like to be the voice of the community and I promise to respond to all of my constituents.
Our school board members should be responsive to our community. I believe I can best support AUHSD with the authentic relationships I have formed over the years with Anaheim families, businesses, and other stakeholders.
